China International Polyamide & Intermediates Forum: Hybrid Virtual/In-Person Event, 6-8 March
+++UPDATE Postponed due to COVID-19 epidemic control restrictions UPDATE+++

The China International Polyamide & Intermediates Forum returns. New dates for a hybrid digital and in-person event have been announced.

From 6-8 March 2022, the event will take place simultaneously online and (for domestic delegates) at the Holiday Inn, Shanghai Hongqiao.

Against the backdrop of easing global monetary policies, commodity prices rose throughout 2021. Natural gas, coal, and oil prices all soared. And, with the energy control policy implemented in mainland China during H2, chemical fiber products are seeing a new round of price rises.

The forum is where you can find out about developments in China and world markets for polyamides.

On the expectation that the US currency is tightening and that of China is relatively loose:

    • What trend will the global economic recovery take?
    • Where are commodities, including crude oil, heading?
    • Will future capacity growth come only from integrated devices?
    • How will the supply and demand pattern of the nylon 6 industry chain evolve, after new caprolactam and other upstream and downstream capacities are utilized?

Domestic adiponitrile technology achieved a breakthrough. New Polyamide (PA) 66 plants will be commissioned. Foreign industry giants are investing in new PA 66 capacities in China, and domestic companies have also announced investment plans.

    • Will China's PA 66 capacity see a drastic increase in the future?
    • Where are the competitive advantages of PA 6, PA 66 and PA 56?

With a focus on those widely concerning issues and building on the success of events during the past 18 years, Tecnon OrbiChem and China Chemical & Fiber Economic Information Network (CCFEI) are joining hands again to present the 19th China International Polyamide & Intermediates Forum.

Charles Fryer, founder and senior advisor at Tecnon OrbiChem, said, "China has long been the world center for caprolactam and PA 6, and this is being reinforced with new caprolactam expansions. But in comparison, China has lagged as regards PA 66."

"Now this is changing, as local companies set up plants to make the intermediates, while the international majors expand their presence. This world-leading Polyamide conference is the forum where you can find out about the developments taking place in China and world markets for polyamides and take stock of the opportunities that are opening up," he added.

This event is supported by the Nylon Fiber Committee of China Chemical Fibers Association and National Chemical Fiber Corp.
