Charles is the founder of Tecnon OrbiChem. He is now principally involved in the company’s Individual Project Studies business. He also still contributes to the Polyamide & Intermediates consultancy service, a field in which he is a recognised world authority. Charles has been involved in scores of major chemical research projects over some 40 years of activity with Tecnon OrbiChem and has presented countless papers at international conferences. His career in the chemical industry started with ICI plc at the Corporate Research Laboratories in Runcorn, UK, working on transition metal catalysts.

Charles has degrees in Chemistry from Oxford University, UK, and the University of Florence, Italy, and was a Research Fellow in nuclear resonance spectroscopy at Warwick University, UK.
