Tecnon OrbiChem has attended the American Fuel & Petrochemical Manufacturers’ springtime event—the International Petrochemical Conference—since the last millennium. And as one of the world's first petrochemical-focused consultancies, we have always had a wealth of insight and expertise to share with our contacts there.
This year, colleagues from our parent company ResourceWise and the recently acquired US-based consultancy Chemical Intelligence are joining us at the Marriott San Antonio Riverwalk Hotel.
Chemical Intelligence monitors glycols (MEG, DEG and TEG), methanol, and solvents such as acetone, IPA, as well as aromatics and aliphatics. The other ResourceWise companies focus on forestry, low carbon fuels and feedstocks, and pulp and paper industry.
This event marks the first time all our vertical partner companies present as one. It allows us to demonstrate how our customers and contacts can leverage our broadening expertise to do better business in the petrochemicals, plastics, polyesters, personal care, engineering materials, biomaterials and textiles markets.
Not only will we showcase Tecnon OrbiChem's business intelligence and data platform OrbiChem360, subscribed to by thousands of chemical industry professionals, we will demonstrate the newest chemicals industry data intelligence platform in our range.
This latest addition to our range chemicals business intelligence tools leverages 20-plus years of data and insight gathered by the Chemical Intelligence team.
The three-day International Petrochemical Conference (IPC) event takes place at the Grand Hyatt San Antonio, Texas from 24-26 March 2024.
Tecnon OrbiChem will host client meetings in Salon E at the Marriott San Antonio Riverwalk Hotel across the street from the event hub. Besides our expert guidance, we will offer refreshments and OrbiChem360 demonstrations.

Tecnon OrbiChem's lead business manager William Bann has been a familiar face at AFPM's IPC event for many years.
Hailing from US originally, Bann (pictured left) pinpoints prices and monitors markets for acetyls (acetic acid, VAM and derivatives), polyamides and intermediates, and engineering thermoplastics from the UK now.

In fact, Tecnon OrbiChem welcomed US-based business manager Dwight Lynch (pictured right) to its team for the first time at IPC last year.
Lynch brings the decades of experience he gained at US-based material innovation company Eastman and at a hydrogen-focused energy startup to our expert team.
From our global consultancy team comes senior consultant Kaiyin Hu (pictured below left).
Based in Europe, Hu co-ordinates our global biomaterials coverage with Lynch and colleagues in China and Europe.
Hu, whose market expertise also includes maleic anhydride & intermediates, BDO, PTMEG and oleochemicals, is increasingly integrating the insights of our colleagues in ResourceWise sister company Prima Markets into OrbiChem360.
Prima's low carbon fuels & feedstocks analytics and price information offering covers a range of products. From sustainable aviation fuels and renewable diesel (hydrotreated vegetable oil) to biomass to energy raw materials and used cooking oil (UCO). Experts in Petrochemicals for Sector's Premier Event Announced: AFPM
Another of our senior consultants Hyunmin Kim (known as Min and pictured left) focuses on polyester fibre resins, PET packaging resin & PBT markets in Asia.
An expert in analysing the impact of geopolitical issues within the region, Min will join us from his base in Seoul, South Korea.
Specific expertise in fibres, ethylene oxides, glycols & derivatives as well as polyamide and PET intermediates will be available from business manager Javier Rivera (pictured right).
Many that know Rivera will remember his demonstrations of Tecnon OrbiChem's chemicals prices and data information platform.
Rivera will be available to present the full range of infographics and graphs on a big screen in our meeting room on the second floor of the Marriott Riverwalk Hotel throughout the event.
A Family Affair...
Fellow business manager Jennifer Hawkins (pictured left) is our resident expert for bisphenol A, epoxy resins and epichlorohydrin-related inquiries.
Hawkins this year clocked up 20 years with Tecnon OrbiChem—the enterprise her father Charles Fryer founded from the seedling of an idea formed before she was even born.
Introducing Our New Chemical Intelligence Colleagues
With our acquisition in September 2023, Chemical Intelligence director George West (below right) brought his team's insights and Ashley Rock (below left) to the ResourceWise team as a senior market analyst.
The pair have since been working with our data experts to build a platform with the vision and intuition of OrbiChem360. Both will be available at AFPM IPC this year.
Tecnon OrbiChem's Europe-based global sales manager Matteo Baldi and his US-based colleagues Matt Elhardt, VP global sales ResourceWise, and North American sales representative Jerred Hunt will attend alongside the consultancy team.
